For his 3rd Birthday (April 2013), James knew exactly what he wanted to do: have a Train Party. Mom supplied lunch, hats, train whistles, cake, coca-cola, and the requisite embroidered shirt.
Village Park in Kannapolis is the preferred site for Train Birthdays.
Waiting together at the train station with obligatory hats. Grandad was a good sport and was happy to wear an engineer hat. We were lucky to have grandad for almost three weeks in April! (Stay posted for highlights from our Leggat Family Scottish Highland Games weekend at Rural Hill Farm.)
The birthday boy gets to pick his seat first.
Getting most of the family in one picture is nice, even if Caroline is trying out her disinterested teenager look.
Our baby in his train overalls at about 7.5 months old.
Aunt Leesee and her baby.
"Don't worry dad, I'm having fun."
After a little bit of singing and brownie cake, it was time to play on the playground.
The big three year old climber.
These two like to argue and brawl so much that they sometimes forget that they are really best friends.
They also try to take good care of the third amigo.
I am sure they are having a sweet conversation.
"Just because I'm getting good at sitting up, doesn't mean you can leave me all alone."
Our sweet baby.

Each and every one of those munchkins is too cute for words. Thanks for sharing two additional parks that we will have to check out in the future. I love the magic of trains!
