Well, this past week was my birthday week. Yup, that's right, we celebrated for a week and actually, we're still celebrating. We had lots of family come to town last week and some of them have stayed on to continue the festivities.
Granna kicked off the week by giving me a bath.
July 30, 2009.
We went to the park for my birthday.
I posed for the camera like a true birthday girl.
Aunt Leesee came all the way from Florida. "She love me ver much."
Granna took me on the slide. I'm such a big girl.
Elena brought me a present.
I asked for a little more hair for my birthday. I think it worked.
Hooray! I love presents... and the paper in which they are wrapped!
My daddy is so funny.
Mom and Granna worked very hard on my "pup cakes" for my birthday party.
Aunt Leesee was a big help.
Here are some of the finished products.
On Saturday Aunt Leesee and Uncie Cam got me all dressed up and put a bow in my hair.
Those are the eyes of a lady who stayed up past midnight frosting "pup cakes."
My Great Grammy and Grandad came all the way from Virginia.
If anyone was wondering where I got my blue eyes, you may want to ask
my Nama and my Aunt Mimi.
My cousin was eager to greet me.
Grandpa... otherwise known as "Hamburger Helper."
Keeping it cool on a hot August afternoon.
Great Grammy put together the "doggie bags." They were a hit.
My friend Elena was sad that her daddy wouldn't wear his doggie ears too.
Uncle Kevin is one of my favorites. I get the best views when he holds me.
Daddy always knows how to make me smile.
Family picture
The view is great up here too.
Don't see your picture? Well, don't worry, there are more pictures of my birthday on their way. We'll update with more birthday pics in a week or so. We have some friends and family that have promised to send their pictures too since mommy and daddy were too distracted to take really great ones of their own.

You asked for it... One day I'm going to have a baby just to post an unflattering pic of you on the blog... That'll teach you!
(Note to bloggers- You have me to thank for the cake part of the cupcakes and also the corn salad... you're welcome.)
First of all, that is not a bad picture... and not even in a "the camera doesn't lie" kind of way. Second of all, everyone should know that you offered several times to help and I turned you down since there was simply not enough counter space for another body in the kitchen. Besides, someone needed to enjoy the house beverage.
OMG Brie - those pup-cakes are INSANE! I am completely amazed. Sorry Caroline, I can't let Abby read this blog entry or she will have an inferiority complex when her 1st birthday comes around. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET GIRL!
Thanks Linzy... whenever I have a second child he/she will also be banned from viewing these pictures because never again will those pup-cakes be made.
Oh and Alise, here's a third of all: There was an equally embarrassing picture of Muihri, unfortunately it couldn't be posted because she was making an obscene hand gesture.
crazy, i wouldn't have even known aunt muihri was at the party from this blog... and i was told my presence was present enough.
that being said, this is not an invitation to post unflattering pictures of me now. i'm content with cute pictures of pup!
Unfortunately, I only have the pictures off of my camera, and you were the one taking them. As soon as I get mom and Emily's pics I'll throw them up there. Let's just say the one I do have of you is a little "shocking."
Oh, I doubt it's all that "shocking!"
A hand gesture does not make a picture unflattering--as long as one has a fresh manicure.
Looks like the party was lots of fun.
XO,
The Grond Ontie Shelle : )
Okay Brie, those pup-cakes are awesome! I attempted a whale for Ellie's birthday this year and I definitely need some decorating lessons from you. Happy belated birthday, Caroline!
For the record, I turned in my photos long ago and I know there are a few great ones of Muihri.
Emily
