July

Well, it's been a while, but we're back in style. We've had a very busy June and beginning of July. I'm now three months old and Caroline is almost two! We've had many many requests for more pictures, but I have to tell you... it's very hard taking care of my mom and sister all day, I can hardly find the time to take a nap, let alone blog about my days.

This rare napping moment shows off my distinguished chin.

This is me practicing my Elvis impersonation. Uh huh, thank you very much!

I'm not sure how my brother can sport those eyelashes and still look like a boy, but I think he pulls it off.

Dad took Caroline for a ride in the jogging stroller and one of those quick Summer storms hit. Mom and I went looking for them in the car and couldn't find them. When we got home, they looked like this. Of course, by then the rain had stopped and mom insisted we capture the moment with a photo.

Aunt Muihri and Unckie Cam came for a visit. James promptly spit up on Muihri's dress. Sorry Aunt Muihri. I started calling Cam "Monkey Cam;" I think the name fits.

Can't a guy get a moment's peace around here? Sheesh.

This is how it goes right?

I (Brie) took the kids for a photo shoot in the park, hoping to get a great shot of the two children together to give to Daniel for Father's Day. Unfortunately, James was either sleeping or crying (both are pretty rare behaviors for him) so we never got the money shot. I did get some cute ones of Caroline so I decided to go ahead and post them.

This is my Carol Brady hairdo.

Has anyone ever tried holding the baby and the camera and taking the picture all at once? If you've done this successfully, I'd love some tips. I might just have to wait until James can sit up on his own.

You'd cry too if they made you sleep on the grass.

Aunt Leesee sent me this Fourth of July outfit. It's a good thing I had a back-up from Granna because I spit up all over this one.

It's way too bright for a photo shoot.

Seriously mom, didn't we learn our lesson on Father's Day? You can't get a good picture of the two of us... especially when Jamie is sleeping!
For good measure, I blew out my diaper on the back-up onesie. I guess I just know that red, white and blue are not my colors.

I already know how to tickle... I'm very advanced.

Red, white and blue may not be my colors, but I look great in the buff.
This picture reminded Daniel and me of something and we couldn't figure it out for the longest time. Thanks to google we have the answer... it's actually a cross between two images.
1. Burt Reynolds on a bearskin rug (link intentionally not included).
2. The dancing hippo from Fantasia

Please don't tell my sister I played with her puppy during her nap.

All dressed up and no place to go.(Thank you Sujani for the shirt and tie and thank you Great Grammy for the I Spy quilt).

We also made several videos for your viewing pleasure:

Here's my sister wishing Monkey Cam a happy 10th birthday.

Here's my sister showing off her mad skillz.

Here's my brother showing off his stuff.

Here we are having fun together. You know, most people said we should just wait six months to a year and we would be playing together, but just look at this cool game I made up. Please excuse the MacGyver hairdo... I'd just woken up.

Here I am showing James how to use all his toys. He needs to be taught, how else would he know how to use them?

Well, I think Caroline got her dancing skills from our dad. It's all in the knees! Love the updated bog- keem em' coming! xoxo

Soo cute! I love that the torture of the younger sibling (using him to kick the ducks for amusement purposes) has started already!

I also love that all bath videos/pictures from the Johnson house are always censored w/ a wash cloth. :)

Whoa, Caroline has some MOVES! I think I'll start dancing to the dishwasher too. It will make housework loads more fun.

James seems so laid back and cuddly. He really looks up to his older sister already.

Hugs to you all!
