Disclaimer: In case you're just joining us, we do not know if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl. I call the baby "brother" just because it's easier and sounds nicer than calling it "it," please don't get too excited when you see the word "brother" all over this post.
Well folks, we're well into the third trimester so it's time to start the guessing. You can vote for the gender on the left of the page, but in order to be considered for the grand prize of "braggin' rights" you must submit all of the following information: gender, date, time, length and weight. Leave your guesses in the comments section (or email my parents if you want to keep your guess a secret). My dad will make a handy spreadsheet like he did before I was born and we'll post it on the left of the screen. Here is some information you may want to know before you go ahead and do your guessing:

My dad will make a handy spreadsheet like he did before I was born and we'll post it on the left of the screen. Here is some information you may want to know before you go ahead and do your guessing:
- The Chinese zodiac calendar says girl (of course it said I would be a boy so take that with a grain of salt).
- The famous Johnson pencil test says boy (it also said I would be a boy... go figure).
- Mom's morning sickness was bad, but not as bad as when she had me.
- Mom has been craving sweets (what else is new?).
- The heart rate was 141 at our last check up.
- The baby moves, kicks, jumps, and rolls WAY more than I did (according to mom).
- As far as due dates go, it's a little complicated. The calendar says mom is due on April 8th. The first ultrasound said April 13th (the doctors are going with this one), another ultrasound said April 3rd.
Here are some pictures of mom just in case you are one of those people who can tell what gender the baby is by the way they are carried.
And what would a blog post be without its star? Here are a few pictures of me I thought you would all enjoy.
Hey, do you like seafood?
Aunt Muihrienne came for a visit. We went to the library and had boogie woogie story time. She's a big fan.
Great Grandma Bon, or GiGi Bon, knitted me this dress. When I wore it I got lots of complements and people said, someone must really love you a lot. It's true. She does love me a lot.
This is the first real snow we got this year. It's hard enough walking and then you have to go add this stuff?
This year I decided to keep it green and do an online Valentine. I had so many pictures and ideas I thought I would post them all.
Hey Valentine, you're better than a bad comb-over any day.
I don't have a pun for this one either, but I thought you'd like to see my kissy face.
Ready or not, here I come Valentine!
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Okay, I get two guesses because I'm the mom... dems the rules.
* Girl, April 8, 12:37 pm, 7 lbs 2 oz, 20 inches
* Boy, March 28, 3:38 pm, 6 lbs 13 oz, 20 inches
Alright Caroline, you left out a very important piece of information - one your mom has me completely hooked on when guessing gender: Fatherly instinct. So, what does daddy think? (Of course, this has led me astray recently more often than not - so I may be forced to go against it.... but I feel I need all the information.)
PS - I love your puns. Especially mullet puns.
PPS - Your mom looks GREAT!
How about "You can comb over and kiss me any time, Valentine!".. It just looks like she wants a kiss on the head in these.
Oh man, I don't know. I don't have the same strong intuition I had with Caroline. It's just not coming to me this time, but if I force myself:
Boy, April 4th, 10:42 pm, 7lbs 13oz, and 22 inches
Wow Aunt Leesee, I wish I had thought of that comb over pun. You know... around here we like to think good pun is it's own reword.
love,
Caroline
*Girl, April 9, 11:12 a.m.
7 lbs 8 oz
21 inches
Can we also make bets on Caroline's reaction to being a sibling?
Alright - I've decided it's time to stop procrastinating and put my guess in writing.
Caroline, you came on a day special to ME - our anniversary... so I'm going to guess the only day of the year I'm happy your mommy doesn't live close to me anymore... (she's the only one who year after year got me GOOD on April Fools Day).
Girl, April 1, 2:33 PM, 7 lbs 6 oz, 20 inches
Caroline,
You're looking great, as always, Darling. Please tell Mommy that she also looks fabulous.
I checked on the moon phases, and March 30th is the full moon. I thought that might be a tad too early for Mom to go into labor, so I'm going with April 1st. I know how much your Mom loves that holiday. I also know it would just drive her crazy if she had to miss out on implementing some of her pranks, but I'm sure she'd make do with plotting against some hospital staff. Also, my Dad was born on April Fool's Day. One of my favorite traits about him is his impishness. I know your family prides itself on that little twinkle of mischief in the eyes as well, so I think your sibling might be an April 1st baby.
So, here we go:
Boy
April 1st
7 lbs. 3 oz.
19 1/2 inches
6:56 pm
Here's to a pleasant, healthy delivery and a super-happy baby!
XXOO
I had no idea how many other people knew of Brie's love of April Fool's Day. She can be a real rascal sometimes.
Checking moon phases . . . well played Kelly.
I like Kelly's comment, so I'm just going to have to piggyback on hers. I love this idea of a mischievous little boy born on April Fools Day!
That looks like a boy belly to me! Since April 13th is my little guy's birthday I'm going to guess:
Boy, April 13, 1:45 PM, 7 lbs, 6 oz, 20 inches
Brie, you look fabulous!
I know it's a little late for the Ed Grimley Valentine pun, but her goes: "I'm as doomed as doomed can be, you know, if you won't be my valentine!"
Hello Caroline,
I'm guessing your brother really is a "brother".
March 31st, 7:36 AM
7 lbs. 4.oz, 20 1/2 in.
Are you practicing being a big sista'?
Love you,
Auntie Shelle
Dear Puppy-
You may want to do one more blog before you have to share attention with your new baby brother.
Love,
Aunt Leesee
Aunt Beth emailed her guess just the other day...
I'm going to go with a girl on April 8, weighing in at 7lbs. 3 oz., and 19 inches, dark hair, at 2:45 pm. It would also be a great birthday present for "Dad" on the 5th. Then you'll have a birthday as well as an unbirthday to celebrate. Your parents would be thrilled if he/she arrived on their anniversary. After reading the list, the odds of hitting someone else's special day seem pretty good. Actually, I'll be thrilled with whoever arrives, and whenever.
