I had my first piano recital on May 31st. Daniel said, "You would have gotten a 10 out of 10 if you hadn't been followed by such a rousing rendition of My Hobby Horse." (The next oldest person in the recital was eleven).
This is me with my wonderful piano teacher and friend, Tia.
Recital Program... it's hard to go first!
We started to cut into this watermelon when we noticed it looked a little too familiar.
Daniel takes "sympathy weight" to a whole new level.
Mom (a.k.a. Grandmama) drove all the way to Charlotte to paint a mural on the nursery walls. She modeled it after one of my favorite children's book series, Duck and Goose.
First Duck and Goose meet and become friends.
They jump and play...
... and share a secret.
Duck and Goose take a peek over the crib.
And of course.... it all ends with a nap.

Way to tickle those ivories, Brie!
You look so adorable, and the more pictures I see, the more I'm convinced that this little angel is a boy.
I love Duck and Goose too! When I was a tot, my Nana (maternal grandmother) used to find Duck and Goose coloring books as a special treat for me when I would visit her during the summers.
Your mom did a lovely job on the nursery.
Hugs!
I can't believe how close you guys are to the big day. The nursery mural is adorable - your mom did a great job!
I'm a little late with my gender guess, but looking at the "watermelon" picture I'm guessing boy. I'll say July 28th weighing in at 6 lbs 12 ounces.
Brie, you look fantastic!
Well played Sujani . . . the Price is Right "ONE DOLLAR" strategy may work out for you.
Daniel
