I have decided to revive this blog, since it doesn't seem fair to Henry to let it slip through the cracks shortly after he starts making appearances. He has turned into a smart, funny, and slightly sassy almost-toddler, and deserves a chance to show off for our friends and family along with the other two. I am going to catch up by posting some of our highlights from the last 9 months, an event or two at a time.
Of course, we start with a set of pictures that doesn't even include Henry. The kids and I found ourselves alone with a Sunday afternoon to kill last December. We decided to throw caution and naps to the wind, and went to the NC Transportation Museum to ride the train with Santa.
Deciding on a Christmas dress was tough for Caroline.
Can't ride without tickets.
Santa brought his elves.
Santa always seems to turn slightly scary for them when he gets close enough.
It's good to have a sibling for this sort of trip.
I had to set up the camera on the floor, set the timer for ten seconds, then run behind the picture and hold both kids up so their heads would be high enough for the holes.
It took a lot of coaxing to get her to stand that close without being too scared.
"I think it's named after me."
The next eight pictures may be the best camera faces James has ever made. I may have to make a montage of just his faces soon. I am a little biased, but they are definitely worth clicking on and zooming in a little bit.
Caroline wouldn't stop singing Christmas carols instead of saying "cheese" for the pictures.
Bonus points if anyone spots the "barrel-chested little thing" in these next few pictures.
