We had a couple more videos we had to upload in time for tonight's game so feel free to watch and cheer but please scroll down to "March Madness- 2011" and check out the post from earlier this week.
Same song, different outfits... Caroline totally calls me out for blatant bribery in the second video.

March Madness- 2011
I swear... we do supervise our children. Daniel was watching James and turned his head for about thirty seconds. He turned around and this had happened. Daniel shouted from the room that James had done something I would have to see to believe. I came in (armed with a camera of course) and saw that James had used a crayon to draw a fancy French mustache on his upper lip.
What can I say... I'm adorable.
We realized that our beloved Tar Heels have been cutting it pretty close on the last several games they've played and wondered if it was due to our tardiness in putting out the annual March Madness update of our blog. So here are a multitude of photos and videos of our children showing off all of their Carolina gear.
James loves Tar Heel Basketball
It's a little superstitious, but we dress the kids in their Tar Heel pajamas if the heels are playing after bedtime.
A visit to Chapel Hill includes drinking from the Old Well, high fiving in the Dean Dome and singing our favorite fight song.
James has really been coming into his own lately. He is exploring the entire house and getting into everything. The poor second child has reached many milestones that we haven't published so we just thought we would make you aware of a few. Yes, he is crawling, standing and moving along the furniture and he even says a few words. His favorite word, by far is "ball" but I'm sure it will surprise no one that knows him that "Mama" was his first word long ago. James doesn't really love speaking on command. In fact, when asked to speak, he usually responds with "ball." However, among his list of words are Mama, Dada, ball, go, and duck. Some witnesses have even heard "Grandad" and "Grandpa." The other day, James pronounced his first three-word sentence: "Dad Ball Go!" (Also, last night at dinner he exclaimed "Go Tar Heels!" I'm not kidding!)

In all my years of babysitting, teaching, and parenting I've never seen such a messy eater. This boy loves food like no other. Aunt Leesee had a great suggestion last week when she visited and we are now putting beach towels under his chair... rather than scrubbing the floor on our hands and knees after three meals and two snacks a day.
We know that James is pretty stinkin' cute- but he can also be naughty. Here he is caught red handed.
Daniel and I have been training really hard for our anniversary celebration and half marathon in April. Daniel is my coach and we made a deal that he would train me as long as I did everything he told me to do. We're hoping to run the race together and set a new PR for me. The training hasn't been without its difficulties and injuries. I've had some foot and leg pain and have been going to physical therapy (which has really helped). The following video is Caroline pretending to be me after I've come in from a long Saturday run.
I should have expected this one:
We are very excited for our piano prodigies... listen closely to hear Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Chopsticks, and Mary Had a Little Lamb.
Granna brought Caroline some adorable ballet shoes and a pretty pretty tutu. Caroline loves ballet, but dancing with the dishwasher is still a favorite.
