Two Months Old (almost)

On my one month birthday my Grandad sent me these beautiful flowers. They made me smile!

Great Grammy and Grandad came to visit.

Grammy loves to sing me to sleep. She says I pass out out of self preservation.

Grammy is an expert baby holder. I'm the 35th grandkid, but in this picture you can see that she's telling me I'm the
favorite.

Just Grandad and me. Some people say we look alike.

We went to the park.

My first public nudity.

The nurse taught Daddy to burp me this way. Nama thinks it's very funny.

Marlie sent me this cute little duck. Mom taught Marlie three years ago and they still keep in touch!

This is my thinking face.

This is my suspicious face.

Dad and I are watching the big game. I'm very attentive.

Some people have expressed concern that mom and dad are putting too much pressure on me to go to Carolina... but don't worry, they say if I get a full ride to an Ivy League school I don't have to go to UNC.

Trying out my Fuzi Bunz... okay, be honest, does this diaper make my butt look big?

Mom and I got all dressed up for the neighbor's baby shower.

Both Grandmas contributed to the outfit.

When I got there I found out another baby was wearing the same dress as me. You'd cry too if it happened to you.

I'm Here!

First of all, I must apologize to all of my faithful blog readers. I've been so busy eating, sleeping, pooping and growing that I just haven't gotten around to blogging. But now that I'm a whole month old I'm ready to tell you the tale of my first four weeks.

It all started on the night of July 29th, when mom's water broke. They went to the hospital around 8:30 PM. Those ladies told mom not to eat anything other than ice chips, but I told her a little snack would be alright. After all, she'd be doing some really tough work in a few hours.

This is mom before the epidural.

This is mom after the epidural. For some reason, adults find that funny.

This is me right after I was born. It should be noted that most babies don't come out looking this pretty.

They just can't get enough of me.

This is my dad typing an email to 70 friends and family members... spelling my name wrong twice. He's lucky he's so cute and lovable.

This is my Aunt Leesee. She loves me.

This guy makes the BEST faces.

Not even a day old and I already have two cousins!

Aunt Jenny came for a surprise visit. She loves me too.

Mom didn't really need the wheelchair, it's just hospital policy.

I went home in mom's car. This is the cleanest it has been in five years (thanks to dad)!

Mom carefully gets out of the car to bring me into the house.

This is Uncie Cam. He's holding me for the first time. He practiced all week and washed his hands twice.

This is my Grana. She was there when I was born.

Three generations all on one couch.

Grandad helps me with my tan.

Nama loves to hold her little squeak toy (that's what she calls me).

This is what the Johnson's do when they see me... help me pose for my portraits.

My mom and I love to cuddle.

Aunt Mimi holds me for the first time.

Some claim I'm so pretty, I must be stolen from Brangelina, but I wasn't. I'm a Johnson through and through (I wouldn't believe it if I wasn't there to see it myself).

I love to take sun baths and listen to Aunt Leesee's stories.

Grana gave me my first bath.

I'm crying because she accidentally scrubbed off my eyebrows.

Uncle Graham drove all the way here just to see me. He's going to teach me how to surf (if mom will let him).

Aunt Muihrienne came to visit too. She's going to teach me the art of sarcasm.

Dapa, the burping specialist, paid a visit. I assume he did an excellent job because I went straight to sleep.

This giant teddy bear and beautiful bouquet were sent by Daddy's coworkers.

Auntie Em and Uncle Justin are going to give me a friend in December, I can't wait.

I love my sling... sometimes.

Look mom, no hands!

Oh, this one was funny...
Dad came downstairs with me and said to Mom, "Hey hun, want to hold her for a second?"

Then he turned me around.
I can't help my spit up trajectory.

I recently learned to stick out my lower lip, hoping that I would get my way faster. However, my parents just grabbed the camera thinking that lip thing was just too cute. I guess I won't try that again.

Mom took me for my first walk in the stroller. Of course I was overdressed and overpacked for a 15 minute walk, but she's new at this.

Mom, Dad...
I've decided what I'm going to do with my life.

I love to dress up.

Taking a bath is now my favorite past time. Of course, I'm still a lady.

I'm one month old today and I love a good pun!

One month old and off to celebrate at Ben and Jerry's. (They wouldn't share).
