Saturday will mark 10 weeks from our official due date of August 2nd (which nobody has guessed, yet*). It is amazing how fast this pregnancy has gone by. The realization that we will be parents in less than 3 months is almost equally exciting and overwhelming. We have a long "to do before Pip arrives" list, most of which probably won't get accomplished (knowing us). I'm told the baby will arrive when it is ready, regardless of whether we feel completely prepared. From the beginning, we have been quite confident that we can produce a child with an excellent sense of humor, if nothing else. It will certainly need one in our house.
Brianne and the Baby are doing fine. The little one is gaining a quarter to a half pound each week, and Brie's belly is accommodating well. She looks great. Below is a mix of pictures (including a couple from Mother's Day). Please keep the guesses coming either by email to either of us or as comments below. Thanks for your interest and support.
*Update - my dad couldn't resist the ease of guessing the due date after reading this
Both potential children decided to give very stereotypical Mother's Day gifts.
I jokingly told Brie she could only open one of the presents. She grabbed the pink one faster than I could tell her I was kidding.
The Baby gave several books, with requests that we read to it. Included was Zen Shorts (a Caldecott Honor winner), showing off the baby's refined Leggat taste in books.
Armed with everything we need for Birth Class.
Who looks more excited to be going? Who is carrying everything (except the most important thing)?
Auntie Shelle is not afraid to back her guess with cute bathing suits.
Still got a little growing to do . . .

Ready to start guessing?
Now that we're in the third trimester, it's time to start the guessing games. Do you think it's a boy or a girl? When will the baby arrive? We're also taking guesses on time of day, weight and length. Yes, there will be a fabulous prize for the person who guesses the most correct answers... more points are awarded for date and gender. Here are some photos to help you out.

Back View... my coworkers swear it's the only way you can tell.
Front View... putting some MAJOR strain on the belly button!
In the interest of full disclosure, you should know the following:
The Chinese Zodiac Calendar = boy
The Johnson Family pencil test = boy
What Brie dreams about the most = girl
Brenda, the snake killing custodian at my school who is NEVER wrong = boy
Morning sickness lasting over 18 weeks = girl
Here are some other fun pictures...
The crib with all of the new bedding
Headed to Tiffany's baby shower... suddenly my head is eliminated from all photo ops.
