Ultrasound Pictures

We are very happy to share our ultrasound pictures. The baby-mama is 20 weeks, 5 days along, and the baby weighs 13 ounces (take that can of coke).

Our favorite is the Profile shot:

The Doctor assures us it will look more human upon arrival. Also, the darkness on its head is not hair (we asked).

Brainwashing Baby Tar Heel

March Madness Special Edition
We figure it is never too early to begin the indoctrination. They say the baby is just starting to actually hear sounds, so I have been turning the games up a little louder than usual. I am hoping at birth the baby will recognize three voices that have been there all along - mom, dad, and Woody Durham (Carolina Radio Announcer). The kid will have a lot to learn about being a little Tar Heel, so we picked up some gear to get started. And before anyone begins to wonder (or object), Carolina blue is undoubtedly a gender neutral color.

Welcome

We are so fortunate to have so many friends and family members who are interested in updates on our new family. We have decided to create this blog to keep you all posted on the baby news. We will try to post nursery shots, ultrasound photos, belly pictures (of both Daniel and me), and any other exciting information.

So here's the latest:

I am 19 weeks pregnant and I'm due August 2nd, although we have many family members predicting a late-July delivery. We are planning not to find out the gender because we just love surprises.

Our nursery is painted blue because whether it's a boy or girl we know it will be a Tar Heel fan. This beautiful crib was given to us by Grandma and Grandpa Bon and Grandmama Shaunana and Grandpa Scott (real grandparent names TBD).

The pictures we posted caused quite an uproar. Yes, that is my real belly! However, the dress is a little deceiving. Here are a couple of more accurate belly pictures.
